Our boy is getting so big already! Brayden is over 12 lbs. now and the rolls are starting to show- I just want to eat him up! It’s been a treat to have him all to myself during the day and it makes me sad to realize that my maternity leave is more than half over. He has started smiling this past week and he has the cutest little grin! Hopefully we can catch one on the camera soon.

We had a great time with my family last week and Lauren loved seeing her uncles Jeff and Jonny again. They each got some cuddle time with their new nephew but were most entertained by their imaginative, talkative, and spunky niece :) We kept them busy with trips to the zoo, the MOA and the skating rink where Lauren showed off her skills on the ice. It was sad to see everyone leave- the time always goes too quickly!

Precious are the times when we're all together . . . such a wonderful two days! Lauren has those uncles of hers pretty much around her little finger, along with Grandma and Grandpa, too! And Brayden is just about smiling and cooing at all of us . . . such a precious little baby boy. Thanks for all the pictures . . . great memories! Love, Grandma Mary
Hard to believe that Brayden is one month old already! Between sleeping, feeding, napping, and playing with a very imaginative 2 year old, the days have all kind of run together and a month has gone by quickly (except in the wee hours of the morning- then time goes a little too slowly). We’re still trying to figure out how to get more sleep throughout the night; Brayden still spits up quite a bit and seems to have some tummy aches which causes him to wake up frequently in the early morning hours. It’s hard to tell if the Zantac is helping but we’ll give it some more time. The doctor had us bump up the dose last Friday because he’s gained quite a bit of weight in the last two weeks- he’s up to 10 lbs. 7 oz. now!
Lauren is still loving her role as the big sister and asks me to take her picture every time she’s holding him. She has loved the extra attention and big sister gifts that she’s received. We’ve had quite a few visitors and Lauren has enjoyed having kids over to play with while we show off her little brother. She recently got a new pet, a betta fish that she named Nemo, for being completely potty trained and likes to feed him herself- hopefully he can survive being overfed a few times a week.
My brothers and parents are coming for a visit this week and we’re so excited to see them and to introduce Brayden to his uncles!

For exciting! I expect a photo of Brayden and Jonny so we can see the resemblance!! When will you be in Grafton? Love, me

Oh my goodness! Brayden you are too adorable! I think he had definitely lost his “newborn look” and is now such a cute little baby boy! I am counting down the days until we get to see him again!!
